I am enjoying watching MAGA World swallowing their own tail. This was inevitable.

I've often said we have been witnessing the Jacobinization of the Republican Party. And just like the Jacobins, MAGAs are now turning on each other, and the survivors will be even more radicalized and batshit crazy.

Bondi fucked up. Bigly. She has no Epstein files. She miscalculated, believing that feeding one of MAGA World's favorite conspiracies would earn her some street cred.

She sees Trump making bullshit claims all the time, and getting away with it, the rubes never holding him accountable for his lies, and so she decided she could, too.

Only the egomaniacal Naked Emperor can get away with deluding the peasants.

Bondi has just learned this the hard way.

As this grows, Trump is going to have to resort to his tried-and-true diversion tactics by saying something even dumber and more outrageous, because he can and still be excluded from accountability.

So they vote against an amendment to direct her to do so.

The Democrats, on the other hand, want to direct Bondi to release the non-existent files so when she comes up empty, MAGA World will lose their shit.

So they vote for an amendment which will direct her to do so.

Sure. Though it's far less likely given that it happened in Aug of 2019 so just prior to the election and it was an open case until the suicide happened. The wheels of Government rarely turn that quickly.
