In protecting their deep pocket petroleum funders Republicans have screwed over the USA first on solar energy dominance, then wind and hydro dominance, and now on EVs and factory automation. They talk a big game about beating China, then stall every effort to compete and win against China.

👇We can't do this and China can.👇 That is the fault of our political parties, mainly Republicans.

Chinese factories can build a car in 77 seconds, with robots doing the work at a scale the U.S. cannot match right now. And Trump is out here talking about tariffs like they are a magic switch that makes America “make things again.” Look at the automation in that kind of plant. Even with tariffs, it would take the U.S. decades, realistically 40 years, to rebuild the industrial base and the machine building capability needed to produce that level of robotics at scale, then stack enough volume to get true economies of scale.

And for what, exactly. U.S. cars barely have a market outside the U.S. Meanwhile China builds for the world. As for the rest of the planet watching America’s tariff daydreams: couldn’t the world care less.

The guy whose X post you are quoting is a dumb ass. He heard that one rolls off the assembly line every 77 seconds and took that as meaning they are building a complete car from scratch in 77 seconds.

Regardless, they are so far ahead of us in so many fields. He's right that they are building for the world. The U.S. builds for the U.S. and tells the rest of the world take it or leave it. They're leaving it.

Ther is no wind and solar dominance. Only failures and fiscal waste.

So assuming all this bullshit is true, HOW EXACTLY is this the republicans fault?

They have thwarted every effort to move the country away from coal and fossil fuel. China is not stupid. They would not be investing massive amounts of capital to build these huge solar farms - some of them covering entire mountains in areas where they can't develop - if this technology didn't work. Yes, they are also building coal burners but those temporary fixes to their energy problems.

And they are selling their electricity to their satellite countries for hard currency.

Oh my...the generate more "green" energy........who cares

Progressives controlled the auto industry to its destruction. Destroying Detroit and other cities around it.

Looks like environmental devastation to me. You good with that? Also with Chinas slave labor they can actually afford to pop out the solar panels and the replacements at a fraction of the cost that we could.
They do the type of manufacturing that is not allowed here in the U.S. . plus the way they extract rare minerals is extremely harmful.

You hate Oil.. but it was oil that fueled the world to give you what you have today. Fossil fuels also succeed in harsh environments where elecrical grids fail. You shouldnt be so ungratfeul.

The majority of Chinese technology is stolen dumbass.

There is nothing wrong with integrating in green energy as long as oil and gas are not purposely shoved aside, forcing people to spend more money than they normally would and as long as it doesn't add to our national debt. If green energy wants to compete then let them compete fairly.
