Republicans extol the Virtues of letting the poor die WHILE wanting to help Iraq

Does anyone else see the problem here? On one side letting people (our own citizens) fend for themselves or die from stavation / diesease etc is a character building exersize and in Iraq lets help them because they are different humans who will treat help differently than Americans...Iraqis wont become dependent..
