Republicans demanding protection for pre-existing conditions. Do you believe this sh!t?

Pre-existing conditions is kind of like minimum wage. Utterly irrationally, but popular with the numbskulls regardless.

Yes....people not dying is a radical concept to republicans

And stupid people think that's what it's about.
That is what it is about

Tell us Republicans......We don’t want you to die, we just don’t want affordable healthcare

Stow the slogans. Forcing coverage of pre-existing conditions on insurance companies is, essentially, just banning health insurance. It's Congress forcing private companies to implement a social safety net instead - because they don't have the balls to raise taxes and do it themselves. It's a lie, like most government these days. It's not about caring for the poor, it's about forcing everyone into the same corporate pens so the banksters can fleece us.

Liberal Democrats are manifestly too dim-witted to understand the basic principles on which this discussion must turn.

MEDICAL INSURANCE is a bargain between an insurance company and a large number of people who cannot or don't want to assume the financial risk of a catastrophic health crisis. MEDICAL INSURANCE, properly created and executed, does not cover things like doctor visits, common medications, or birth control pills. These are not extraordinary expenses and are - in a sane world - "self-insured" by the general population.

The insurance company employs ACTUARIES, who collect data on injuries and illnesses, and the costs of treating thereof, along with the probabilities that people in the General Population will experience these extraordinary conditions or events. Using this information, they calculate the amount that the customers will have to pay in premiums in order to cover the costs of covering those unfortunates who have a valid claim.

When GOVERNMENT steps in and demands that insurance companies cover routine expenses (as mentioned above), and pre-existing conditions, they obliterate the most basic assumptions of the insurance bargain. It is no longer "insurance." The concept of "risk" when associated with a person having a "pre-existing condition" is an absurdity. There is no risk, there is only the fact of an expensive, ongoing claim, that will burden the company and all of its covered customers. Fire all the actuaries; they are no longer relevant or needed.

Hence, the Obama-nation that we commonly refer to as "Obamacare" is and was bullshit, and should never have been passed. Having been passed, it should have been repealed the instant sanity was restored in the Congress.

Let insurance operate as insurance. Which is to say, allow insurance companies define their own risk pools and reject applicants with expensive pre-existing conditions.

At the same time, since there is a public mandate for protection of such individuals, "the Government" must provide a separate, taxpayer-supplemented program for those individuals rejected by insurance companies as aforesaid. Each and every proposal by Republicans to repeal Obamacare has INCLUDED SUCH A PROGRAM, to protect those with the dreaded pre-existing conditions.

And Leftist politicians have continually DENIED THE EXISTENCE of such proposed supplementary programs, because in denying their existence, they can perpetuate the LIE that "the Republicans are throwing the people with pre-existing conditions under the bus." And it is a lie.

So the Party that has as a perpetual mantra that "Trump Lies," perpetrates an egregious lie (intended to frighten vulnerable constituents), and their partisans are...what?...to stupid?...too uninformed?...too gullible? to see what's going on.

As Exhibit A, I offer most of the postings above in this thread.

If it's really the "freeloaders" that have you in a tizzy, repeal EMTALA and stop whining.

I'm pointing out the hypocrisy in your position. If it were really the "freeloaders" you had a problem with, you'd be fighting EMTALA, not trying to nationalize health care.
