We told you that if you Republicans would stop demonizing hispanics they would start voting for you. But before you believed demonizing them would benefit you most. Spanish people by and large are workers at heart..... there is definitely culture clash with Caucasian based cultures but they do share a very similar viewpoint of self-sufficiency which makes them almost naturally conservatives and republican leaning....

But if you had to pick one event that flipped Zapata, it was Biden's slip during the last debate when he said the country should transition away from petroleum. Texas has two prolific oil fields, the Eagle Ford Shale and the Permian Basin, that are major employers in West and South Texas.

Understanding the difference will be key to Democrats moving past their faltering, one-size-fits-all approach to Hispanics.
