Trump fired the head of the Bureau of Labor Statistics Friday after the agency released a jobs report that showed a significant slowdown in hiring in the U.S.

“Several Republicans told NBC News that they would take issue with the firing of Erika McEntarfer, the commissioner of the BLS, if it is the result of Trump disliking the jobs report numbers, which showed the U.S. job market in the past months has been considerably weaker than previously thought.”

‘Take issue with’ means Republican cowards won’t do anything to oppose Trump’s authoritarian regime.

He may have point Bidens job numbers were routinely exaggerated so its nit a stretch to have Trumps jobs underestimated.

Trump is the President and has the power. Kamala was the Vice President and near her whole staff left within the first year and they left voluntarily. Trump has the media against him. Kamala had the media for her.

Shoot the Messenger

Trump is setting us up for long term bad economic news
Pay no attention to economic numbers….They are fake, political, blame BIDEN

Democrats have no ideas, no plans and no clue. All they can do is question, undermine and obstruct our great President Trump. Enjoy this while you can because we'll never have a President that's this good again.

Trump is in charge

He is free to audit the process and resulting data.
But he knows the result will be that the results are dead on, balls accurate

There are more than one source so we will get a confirmation one way or another

OK, you might be a leftist and all but when was the last time you could trust .gov numbers on anything, regardless of the band-o-turds in charge.

Yes, I trust government numbers

Hard to keep a secret with millions of employees who produce those numbers.
Hard to keep secrets with independent auditors reviewing the process and reporting the results
Hard to keep a secret with Freedom of Information Act

What I don’t trust is Trump saying things are fake with no data to support his claims
Why do you?

Meh, with the exception of federal .gov workers there's jobs for anyone who wants one here in my AO.

Trump is changing the workforce. Some of it is government employment reduction. There are many different directions of it. You had your chance. We knew by the summer of 2021 that suffering was coming. You jit cells did it. You elected a comatose cadaver and a brainless skank abusing the election system.

Show us
Show where Biden was found to be faking BLS job numbers

Trump runs the show now
Why hasn’t he audited Biden’s job numbers and showed they were fake?

Why?
Because Trump brags about BLS numbers that are favorable to him and calls numbers fake that he doesn’t like.
Then shoots the messenger

He can't show us shit. The reality is Biden's numbers were also consistently advised downward.

I tried to explain this is another thread. I honestly believe I am probably the only person that read the damn report. The initial numbers are based on survey responses, the Household Survey and the Establishment Survey. Those responses are extrapolated statistically with a confidence level of 90%. All this information is right there in the survey.

And yes, those initial numbers have been consistently revised downward over the last several years. What the report doesn't tell us is why their initial numbers are so far off. This morning, I found out why. Response rates to those surveys, specifically, the establishment survey response rates, have fallen off a cliff since Covid. From a 60% response rate to what is now a 43% response rate.

The Department of Labor created a committee called the The Federal Economic Statistics Advisory Committee, it was comprised of UNPAID volunteers who were statistical experts. They were tasked with finding ways to improve the response rates for the Establishment Survey. Howard Lutnick disbanded this committee in early February. Said we didn't need them any more.

It is so indicative of this administration's clown circus. They actually create the problem, or at least in this case, exacerbate it, and then scream like stuck pigs, react spontaneously, and throw down the victim card.
