Report: 237 millionaires in Congress

Anyone who doesn't realize that politicians are rich are blind ... and they get into office only to make themselves richer ... their policies are for no other reason. ;)

and the ones who aren't millionaires yet will be when they leave office.

so they're fucking evil just like the bankers and businessmen but these pols don't actually produce anything.

In fact they get paid for taking our money from us

There is a difference, bankers and business men aren't in control, the politicians however can change policies to give them an edge. ;)

But, but, but they care about us, it's the corporate CEO's that are evil !!

I am glad to see that there were no billionaires. That would be terrible!

Devil's advocate here: Anyone who makes over $200K a year and doesn't have a net worth of over a million must not be a financial genius.

You forgot lawyers--

They said on c-span this morning, that in the house Bill on health care, it is 100% paid for with the Medicare efficiency cuts and a tax on those making more than a million a year net.

wonder if any of these congressmen will be in that pool and voted to tax themselves?

Likely no, the politicians have ways of making their money "off the books" ... like calling them "campaign contributions" or writing off luncheons that cost $5,000 as a business expense just by taking an ambassador with them.

yep, cuz it is over a million NET that will be taxed....doubt these guys have that kind of NET income once they take their tax write offs...

And you believe them?

I don't understand why we have to make Medicare more efficient as part of this health care plan. If it's not efficient, it should be made efficient even if this bill does not pass.

Because they are just not interested in making it more efficient, if they were they would have just improved the current system instead of trying to add more to it. Increasing efficiency is not accomplished by making it more complicated, making it more complicated (as we see with laws) is only for the benefit of giving more power to one entity while removing it from others. ;)

What's important to understand is that to the lemmings out there who buy into the class warfare gig, there is "good" rich and "bad" rich.
