Aryan is now called White because Hitler used the term in a non-biological way (it came from Ariosophy which came from Theosophy) and tainted it. I think that White, prior to WWII, meant Western European. Jews and Arabs are in the Semite group. White is often used to distinguish European Aryans from Asian and Middle Eastern Aryans (e.g. Indians and Persians). Personally I'd rather we go back to using the word Aryan, but alas that would confuse people into thinking in terms of Ariosophy instead of biology.
