The govt is passing legislation tomorrow to take British Steel back into public ownership. This following the latest failure of capitalism.

Of course like all of thatchers failed giveaways it will cost more than it should. At least her tory mates got rich on her giving away public assets.

Time to take back the water and rail companies next.

Because when I think industrial efficiency, I think government.

/sarcasm.

They're only debating, ass wipe.

I was waiting for dickhead Tommy on British Steel, what a clown, no knowledge in the retards head :auiqs.jpg: -

Here's a more detailed look at the reasons why British Steel was privatised -
  • Financial Losses and Inefficiencies:
British Steel was facing significant losses due to factors like outdated technology, overcapacity, and rising energy costs. Under public ownership, the government had struggled to make the company profitable, leading to a desire to find a more sustainable solution.
  • Government's Ideology:
The Conservative government, led by Margaret Thatcher, had a strong ideological commitment to privatization, believing that private companies would be more efficient and responsive to market forces than public entities. Privatization was seen as a key part of the government's plan to reform the British economy.
  • Market Competition:
The steel industry was facing increasing competition from overseas manufacturers, who were able to produce steel more cheaply and efficiently. Privatization was seen as a way to help British Steel become more competitive in the global market.
  • Improved Efficiency and Productivity:
British Steel was already making some improvements in efficiency and productivity before privatization, but the government believed that a private owner could drive even further improvements.

Failed thatcherism.

Maybe its time for state owned, collective farming as well? How about government owned stores manned by civil servants?

People like Tommy Twat always think they will be part of the Vlasti, the party elite, and once the commies take over, only the peasants will have to deal with the shortages and the bullshit.

Your way has failed. Fucked up. The people have to step in.

Actually, British Steel, as a part of Jingye Group, already belongs to people. It just don't belongs to British people.

You want British Steel be controlled by a government? The Chinese government already controls it.

How does that work ?
Privatisation is needed following the failure of capitalism. Its a key industry that should never have been given away.

Pubs are a key industry too, why not make bartenders civil servants.

That is exactly right.

In Germany, they established Hitlercare for the masses, a socialized medical scheme.

But Hitler himself wasn't going to use it, because he was a party elite. Instead he went to a highly rated and expensive private sawbones , Dr. Theo Morell.

Current libs think they will be exempt from their own atrocities

Hereditary Ownership Contradicts and Destroys Capitalism

Incompetent heiristocrats run and ruin both Capitalism and Socialism. Defund the know-it-all spoiled brats and we will see real leadership. Civilization will decline and collapse if we keep running to the partner parties of the RickKid Reich for solutions.

The greatest steelmaker, Andrew Carnegie, started as an errand boy and worked his way to the top. Same thing with the Father of the Oil Industry, John D. Rockefeller.

Why do you avoid the question about the disaster of privatisation.?

By the end of 1980, BSC had completed the closure of a number of outdated and loss-making plants and reduced its workforce to 130,000 – compared with a total of 268,500 employees at the time of nationalisation

Nationalisation sacked over one half of it's workforce and Tommy thick twat hails that a success, lmfao. Then the saved wages makes it all looking profitable again until it all declined again. In step unions with strikes. Nationalisation is like you Tommy, a fucking failure.
