I would feel much more comfortable exposing someone's hypocrisy here in an open forum (even if it could get me banned) than to gossip about them with others, in private conversations. Doing that would make me no better than them.

I suspect that could happen and the OP not even be aware he/she crossed some line.

It happened to me..... I assumed someone was using a pen name and when I quoted it I was quite shocked to find out that it was his real name.
The mods gave me a good, Stern talking to.

Don't 'share' from your Facebook account. Don't link to your cloud account, your Instagram or whatever today's version of "Photobucket" is. Don't "attach" images from your phone unless you are positive they aren't location tagged. Don't share too much personal info. Many little details strung together provide a big picture.
