Starting January 20th, will I have to carry my birth certificate with me at all times?

If so, can it be a notarized copy, or will it have to be original?

My ancestors came from England some time around 1800, but you can't tell that I wasn't born in Europe based on my appearance.

Just want to get all my papers in order.

Yes, you should.

And BTW, do you have a preference of which country you're going to be deported to?

When we start having 100,000 Englanders crashing our East coast every month, and not returning home, but instead using our social services, having to take over hotels and school property to sleep, and English gangs start trafficking their children to sneak the adults through... from whatever various European countries.... then YES, it would make sense to check your ID...... but that isnt even happening... so no reason to entertain the fairy tale.

They all do, regardless of political orientation.

That immigration bill that Biden and Harris kept on criticizing Trump for killing?

It required a digital ID. It was the first step to a social credit regime.

Most of the Freedom Caucus opposed it regardless of what Trump did or said.

I know very few people who even have their birth certificates; a passport will do nicely. If you are a "'mercan," getting one should be fairly easy, though more time-consuming than it was in the past.

The only time in the past fifty years when anyone asked me to prove my citizenship (other than when applying for my passport) was when I applied for employment, and the employer took the I-9 Form requirement seriously. I was happy to comply.

My cousin (by marriage) is Italian but looks like an Arab-Muslim terrorist, which he freely admits. He carries his passport with him when driving, because he has been given the hairy eyeball by constables on more than one occasion when stopped for a traffic violation. Probably a good idea for anyone who looks like that.

This is really simple.

Just amend the 14th so that it reads that you have to have a parent that has been a citizen of the US for more than 10 years for birthright citizenship to apply to any newborn.

Just one parent needs to be a citizen for 10 years or more.

As for the OP. Idiots are going to play stupid games.

You know it never would have been an issue if not for the sheer numbers right? It got so bad that even Liberal mayors had to complain. The same mayors who support sanctuary cities. Are they racists too? because thats obviously at the heart of your thread. and things had to get pretty bad for them to even open their mouths.

Most Americans could very much, not really give a shit who is here as long as they are not causing trouble or the numbers and lack of assimilation, and gang activity were not happening. It if was simply a matter of usual legal immigration where the applicants go through the process of vetting there would be no major issue to speak of.
Why is it so called good liberals can never get something so simple into their head?

Please promise me that you will stay up very very late every night worrying about it.

Do you plan to carry your passport with you when you go into town? And will you freely and willingly show it to any ICE agents that ask you for it?

Retroactive amendment, or going forward?

The OP should be involuntarily confined to a secure mental health facility for 30 days observation.

You really think ICE agents will be stopping random people on the streets? You think that’s the way it really works?

1st of all. There are not enough ICE agents available to be wasting their time like that. It’s going to start with people who have run ins with the law.

Let's wait to see how it is going to work...
