It's possible to remove or dismantle the police, it's just up to a few city council persons? Something THIS important shouldn't be left up to what is proven to be a political group without concern for the welfare of the public, there are bad city council persons too.

This is how stupid democrats in congress are (both state and fed legislatures) ...

Congress writes & votes bills into law.

Police enforce the laws passed by congress.

If there is no enforcement officers...there is no need to write or vote on any law. Congress will make itself superfluous.

Yes. NYC has already cut 1 billion $ out of the police budget. Not to mention demoralizing every officer out there...many have quit or retired early.

There are many ways to skin a cat.
