This is past the point of concerning. I've flown in and out of Newark on multiple occasions over the years when heading back east. I'm leaving Wednesday for Edinburgh, but thankfully I change through JFK this time. There needs to be emergency measures put in place immediately. Perhaps, a complete checkup of all systems and maybe temporarily transfer ATC's from other airports to fill the shortage. I'd be curious to know how old this equipment is.

Radar screens at New Jersey's Newark Liberty International Airport went black again early Friday morning.

The outage happened at 3:55 a.m. and lasted about 90 seconds, the Federal Aviation Administration said.

Air traffic controllers could be heard telling a FedEx plane that their screens went dark and then asking the aircraft to tell their company to put pressure on to get the problem fixed.

In another transmission, a controller told an arriving private jet that the airport just had a brief radar outage and to stay at or above 3,000 feet in case the controllers couldn't get in touch during the aircraft's descent.

If Democrats were in charge, we still wouldn't know that we have circa 1980 technology in our ATC towers. Getting replacement parts on EBAY?? WTF???

Old technology needs replacing.

Trump suggested this in his first term. Even if this upgrade causes some aggravation, it may be one of those migraine things we have to do.

Too many indications to ignore. The military is picking a fight. It's just surprising that the secrets can be kept for so long that the truth is being exposed by the obvious.

WEF/Democrats have a cyber attack planned that will make covid look like a minor inconvenience.

The cyber pandemic is near

Be ready

I'm sure the Newark mayor will bet the problem fixed but he's going to have to do it from his jail cell. Newark is turning into a third world country.
