P.S. The guy who was given the 35-year prison sentence will be out before he is 50 years old, maybe even sooner than that if he is granted an early release at some point. He may have done what he did in self-defense, but considering how far he went at defending himself is why he was given the prison sentence that he was given. If the victim was not armed with anything, what reason was there for the perpetrator to go to such an extreme?
