Iām so old I remember when it was horrifying to question the patriotism of a President.
2020 Dem Seth Moulton: Trump is not a patriot
Rep. Seth Moulton (D-Mass.), a 2020 presidential candidate, said Sunday that President Trump is ānot a patriot.ā
āI think we need to take on Donald Trump, not just in his job as president, but his job as commander-in-chief, thatās where heās weakest,ā Moulton, who launched his White House bid earlier this month, said on CNNās āState of the Union.ā
āHeās not a patriot,ā he added. āI mean, he is not a patriot at all.ā
Host Jake Tapper pressed Moulton on his comments, asking whether he thinks Trump āloves this country.ā
āI donāt think a president who encourages Russia to attack us as he did during the campaign, I donāt think a president who disparages American heroes like John McCain and Captain Kahn, I donāt think a president who cozies up to Kim Jong-Un and sells out South Korea ā¦ I donāt think thatās a president who embodies patriotism,ā Moulton said.
