Ask if it would be OK to call blacks “anti-human scum.” Someone called Jews that - repeatedly - and it was chalked up as just an opinion and not antisemitic.
That would be "TruthNotBS

What ya crackers cacking 'bout now?
It's a weird one that, crackers. Not sure if blacks think that white folk are suppose to find it offensive or derogatory etc.. but crackers are -

Biscuits for cheese. Bizarre.

If I repeatedly called black posters “black trash” would this be considered racist?
You should either let it fly over your head, tbh, they're not very bright. Or report "white trash" comments and see what happens, and use "black trash" in your posts and see what happens.

I'm not offended by it, but I'm "offended" by the double standard
Tbh, I never heard of cracker until just a few years ago after joing US forums. I ain't offended either, because it means nothing to me.

In fact, I'll have to Google it's origin.

It's meant to offend.
There are several theories as to its origin. I don't believe the whip/cracker theory

Hmm. I guess we need a list of derogatory terms that are and are not legal and what groups are allowed to use what words in reference to another group? For instance black people in music, rap, movies, TV call each other the 'n' word all the time but, if I used it, it would be racist and I would probably get a significant time out here. (Disclaimer: I do not like the word no matter who uses it and have no desire to use it but it does present a interesting paradox.)

But the rules aren't as weird here as they are in some forums. On one Christian forum I was censured for saying Democrat Party instead of Democratic Party. Apparently "Democrat Party" was a derogatory term. :)

On Twitter before it was X I once defended Nancy Pelosi with a tweet informing somebody that she never said a quote that was attributed to her. I followed that up saying "I'm not saying she shouldn't be hung, but she should be hung for a something she actually said." Twitter suspended my account until I took down that Tweet saying that it was harassment. Of course they allowed much worse said about Trump or others in the right wing. But the craziest part is that tweet was up from December when I made it until May when they made me remove it.

But yeah, as I am no longer in any protected class--the Democrats no longer protect women--I would like to know if somebody insults my religion or my race or my ethnicity or whatever, am I in trouble if I insult theirs if they are in a protected class?
