Seems like a bad idea to me. I’m sure someone will be along shortly to tell me why a foreign national having an air force base here is great for us.

If you bothered to read your link, they are building a training facility on an existing US AFB. They won't own the whole thing. But it will create jobs to build the facility, and increase economic activity in the area. I see it as a win win. Your headline is a fraud.

Of course you see a win win. I’d be amazed if you ever saw anything correctly.

Will there be a special hangar built for Trump's 747?

Could you imagine what you would be saying if any of this happened under Pres. Obama?

But they will be training Qatar pilots how to fly fighter jets, will they not? This sounds bad to me because they are sharing their military technology with foreigners.

Tell me, what did I get wrong? We bring foreign pilots to the US to train them all the time, what's wrong with those countries paying a portion of the freight for the facilities?

.

They are teaching them how to fly their planes that they bought from us.
I also feel that US shouldn't sell fighter jets (commercial planes are OK) to other countries.

US should keep her military tech a top-secret to ensure her dominance.

What did the link say about it

What would you expect from a fraud?

But investigators did find that 17 of the Saudi trainees in Florida had social media containing jihadi or anti-American content, and 15 (including some of the 17) had contact with child pornography. These findings led Saudi Arabia to withdraw 21 students from the training curriculum in the U.S.

I agree. At least with tech we still use. And we still use those particular f-15s.
