What would Repubs have said if a Dem Special Counsel investigating a Dem prez in a similar circumstance to Mueller's investigation allowed the prez's son, who was involved in the campaign, not to testify? What if the SC didn't charge the son with crimes he said he committed? What if the SC allowed the prez not to testify in person? What if he allowed the prez to refuse to answer any questions on the matter of obstruction? What if he described the written answers to questions as "inadequate" but accepted them anyway?
