Putin's reaction to Trump

Putin's reaction to Trump
Putin likes Trump. Trump liked Putin until this week.
Trump said he would end the Ukraine war on day one. I assumed because of Trump's relationship with Putin.
Putin has not negotiated an end to the Ukraine war.
Trump finally said Putin is feeding US bullshit.
After Trump's threat to Putin, Putin increased his attacks on Ukraine.
Putin has played Trump. Putin has embarrassed Trump. Trump has embarrassed the USA.

YOu ASSUME because of Trump's relationship with PUtin?

Right there, you insert YOUR self serving ideas into Trump's head and then you judge him on what you IMAGINE him to be thinking.

Right there, everything based on that is shit.

I found something that might be interesting for you to read about the difficulty in dealing with Russia and Putin.
Some of Russia’s difficulty may come from the U.S. elites’ and the State Dept's overall ignorance of Russian history and its sensitivities to real or perceived threats of foreign invasion.
Here's a little factual information that may have flown by you.
After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the U.S. political elites promised not to move NATO east into former Warsaw Pact countries. Every time another former Warsaw Pact nation was added into NATO, the Russians complained and the West shrugged off the complaints.
Additionally, U.S. leaders, both Democrat and Republican also have spent years engaging ad nauseam in threats to weaken or break up Russia, to ruin the Russian economy, to change the Russian regime—and, of course, have levied decades of never-ending sanctions. This behavior has eroded the trust necessary to negotiate in good faith.
In December 2021 Russia made a peace offer to stop the advancement of NATO in Ukraine. Biden's handlers and especially Tony Blinken completely ignored it, again assuming the tired pose, “So what are you going to do about it?” Russian leaders are showing the U.S. and the NATO coalition what Russia can and will do.
Americans understandably view Russian-American relations through the framework of American media, which tends to downplay or ignore hostile and ill-conceived actions by US officials over the years. This article and the heavy sourcing it links to provides a more objective assessment that help see things from other perspectives.

You are treasonous Russian lackey.
AI Overview

No, NATO did not promise not to expand when the Soviet Union broke up. While there were discussions about security guarantees and the future of Europe, no formal, legally binding commitment was ever made by NATO to refrain from eastward expansion, according to Wikipedia.

Here's a more detailed explanation:
  • No Formal Agreement:
    .

Despite some discussions and proposals, there was no official treaty or agreement where NATO promised not to expand.

  • Soviet Proposals Rejected:
    .

The Soviet Union did propose that NATO not expand, but these proposals were rejected by the UK, US, and France.

  • Warsaw Pact Dissolution:
    .

The Warsaw Pact, the Soviet-led military alliance, dissolved in 1991, which led to a reassessment of European security structures.

  • NATO Expansion:
    .

Following the dissolution of the Soviet Union and the Warsaw Pact, NATO began to expand eastward, with several former Warsaw Pact countries joining.

Putin has played Trump. Putin has embarrassed Trump. Trump has embarrassed the USA.

Putin sees Trump as a mark, and he (like every other world leader) knows to play nice and compliment Trump in private. Just fawn and feed the brittle ego and you have a chance to get something you want.

But Putin will only go so far. He'll pull Trump along for as long as he can, but once he decides that he can't get anything else, he has to detach.

Putin's right on the edge right now. He has China and North Korea, and not much else. His economy is in collapse, he's probably in danger personally, and he may be fucked. But he's gotten what he can from the child in the Oval Office.

Why do people automatically create a dichotomy on every issue? Are you for the Bloods OR are you for the Cripps? You must choose a side and die for it. Likewise, you're either for Russia OR you're for Ukraine. But intelligent people realize that not everything is a good vs. evil fight and when it comes to fights everything is usually two evils fighting it out. Ukraine does not impact the US one bit, let someone else fall into that money pit. Does anyone ever wonder what would happen if countries would just stop constantly meddling in each other's affairs and actually started caring about their own citizens for a change? Probably not. But this war would have never started if governments were more focused on their own citizens.

This saga is ridiculous. I think this it the third time when people have gone "Ah, Trump now realizes that Putin's playing him" and then he goes back to be being played.

Has he got it this time, or is this just another strop?

Trump does not do what most politicians do. Trump does not do what most humans do.
There are very few humans in the world with less morality and ethics.

You write like someone possessed .
He is just an actor playing in a Repertory Theatre and there are one or two main character roles which he plays excellently .

Come back and join the Human Race --- you living hyperbolic flights of fancy is bad for your digestion .

Reports are that russia has lost over one million soldiers kill or maimed

The russian economy is in shambles and the russian people are suffering

Putin has painted himself into s corner that he cant escape from unless he wins the war

Otherwise he is history and possibly dead

Do you really believe such wholesale garbage and drivel ?
Or do you just like being silly for the fun of it?

If there was even 30% truth in your childish claims , Dear Uncle Pooters would be securing best possible end - of- war arrangements .
Now .

Currently he is looking more likely to achieve every extra piece of land grab that he wants .
Almost certainly Odessa for strategic reasons. and even Kyiv .
The UAF no longer exists -- it has been destroyed , or has turned and is fighting alongside the Russians .
Moscow is effectively now fighting NATO and mercenaries who are NATO proxies .
They are being decimated .

I base my conclusions on what Trump says. You are correct, I base it on shit. I should know better.

And you double down on it.

What if Trump based HIS conclusion on the fact of Putin's war plan obviously failing?

That's why I thought that a negotiated peace was a likely possiblity.

That would put a whole different and completely reasonable spin on the siutation.

But it would deprive you of an excuse to talk shit on people you hate.

I believe reports that north korean solders are serving in Ukraine

Whats that all about if not russia being stretched to the limit for manpower and leaning on a smaller country like north korea for assistance?

The Ukraine admits the Russian war plan is not failing. It is stronger now since the first 6 months of the war.

The piece of shit Putin could care less how many people die but the economy is a major concern.
Trump needs to get his ass in gear and step up sanctions on Russia.
