Putin said yesterday that he's willing to end his war in Ukraine (aka "special military operation" in authoritarian Russia, or else!) if Russia (meaning Putin) gets "respect" from western countries. Did Hitler get respect?

Putin maintains that it's NATO's fault for expanding east toward Russia, and THAT is why he invaded a peaceful country -- Ukraine, since Ukraine wants NATO security (and EU prosperity). In reality, NATO is a DEFENSIVE organization and Putin is jealous that Ukrainians ALSO want to break away from his AUTHORITARIANISM.

Putin can stop HIS war anytime. No more excuses.
He started it for BS reasons (Hitler-like expansion), and he should end it ASAP. If not, then NATO, including USA, should maximize their sanctions and assist Ukraine with long-range weapons to destroy Russia's military assets and oil/gas economy. What is Trump waiting for? Putin will not stop until he has to.

Show us where Putin expanded
Each and every one of those countries came to NATO because they had spent decades under the Russian jackboot.

Unlike the old Warsaw Pact comprised of hostage countries, each and every NATO addition asked to be allowed to join.

They all know what it means to live under Russian authoritarianism and rediscovered their self-respect and switched sides.

Hell... get rid of Lukashenko and BELARUS would jump at the chance to join and to escape the decaying Russian orbit.

But NATO does not START wars... if merely FINISHES them... if Russia remains peaceful it has no reason whatsoever to fear.

Hell... in truth... they have more to fear from North Korea or China or Iran than they do NATO, if Russia behaves peacefully.

NATO does not control those countries. Go back another 10 years and show the Warsaw Pact countries that were puppet states of the Soviet Union.

The countries chose to join with NATO while the Warsaw Pact was dissolved way back in the early 1990's as part of the settlement that NATO would not expand which freed a number of countries that Stalin had taken back in the late 1930's early 1940's since then Russia hasn't tried take any of them back.

When Ukraine and NATO announced the membership intent that crossed the red line as that would massively destabilize the security of the region which is a massive error on the part of the West pushing Russia into an existentional threat situation as a NATO base was intended to be placed near the Russian border thus imperil the existence of Russia.

Shoulda, woulda, shut up, pig, or piglet, if you wish. NATO can do squat. Ukraine is finished, fucked up owing to the US, mostly. What's next on the list? Venezuela? You know, can't the US for once address the real problems that are rotting it from the inside? Homelessness, for instance, stupification of its people. Look at yourself for instance. What generation of a moron are you in your family?

Those new NATO countries added since James Bakers 1990 “not one inch east” pledge are part of NATO, correct?

That was genuinely funny

You sound bitter. What's the problem? Democracies won't bow to Putin? They prefer alliances instead? In the US there was a saying before the 1776 Revolution, "We hang together, or we hang separately".
Yes Venezuela is next, then Columbia, Panama, Cuba, and then we'll look around to see who is making trouble in our hemisphere.

How is it that Russia is bad and the US is good when the US has invaded more countries in the past 25 years than Russia?

And now US citizens are wanting the US to take over Venezuela, Columbia, Panama, Cuba and more.

What have any of those countries done to the US?

Shove that revolution bla bla you know where. You fuss over it like if it were an event of a planetary scale. There may have been a couple of skirmishes not worth mentioning of but the number of movies and stuff you invented about it makes it look like it was more tectonic that the meteorite that killed the dinosaurs on earth.

Well, to be honest, I don't give a flying **** about what you do there in your hemisphere. The question is what's your damn problem about what we do in ours?

They are narco-states that killed 400,000 Americans during the Biden administration, or,
are national security threats to the US.
