No. I don´t agree. The Soviet collapse is still not completely overcome but the achievements made under Putin are not deniable. For example: The region of the former GDR just reached its 1989 economic performance (in general, not in production).

Why should I care? We have our own interests and we want a reliable resource supply. Those eastern countries cannot get around the fact that Russia is big and has its natural sphere of influence.
