It only takes one nuclear explosion to get us to launch and China to get involved. Not a poker game any one wants to start. If you were wise you would not want to f around and find out. Our current strategy is effective enough. We let them wither on the vine. Without your war population was dropping to the point Russia wasn't going to be able to keep the lights on in the next century. Poor schooling and population dropping. Your war has dropped the population in reproductive age even faster. No reason to act rashly on our part. We can play the long game. No need to take unnecessary risks.
