Putin has just discovered the scale of his latest miscalculation

Not all of Donald Trump’s new measures against Russia will be effective, but new sanctions are a cost the Kremlin cannot easily afford
14 Jan 2025 ~~ By Samuel Ramani

President Donald Trump has finally lost patience with Vladimir Putin. Having promised a “major” announcement on Russia, Trump has now confirmed that the US will dramatically increase weapons supplies to Europe for use in Ukraine and threatened 100 per cent secondary tariffs on Russia’s trade partners. Trump would only provide Russia with an off-ramp if Putin agreed to a ceasefire in Ukraine within 50 days.

As Joe Biden’s administration had only provided Ukraine with a small number of ATACM long-range missiles, these stocks were reportedly depleted by late January. Ukraine has been forced to largely rely on its drone innovations to strike targets deep inside Russian territory and its June 1 Operation Spiderweb attack on Russian strategic bombers was a signature triumph.
While new US missiles will not unilaterally change the course of the war, they could broaden Ukraine’s ability to strike Russian military and economic infrastructure. Even without additional US support, reports suggest that Ukraine was recently able to strike a major gas pipeline in Langepas in Russia’s Tyumen Oblast that supplies military facilities in Chelyabinsk, Orenburg and Sverdlovsk. With more US aid, Ukraine’s possibilities grow significantly.
Much depends on the nature of the technology that the US is willing to export. Ukraine hopes that Trump will approve the delivery of the Precision Strike Missile (PrSM), a newly minted upgrade on ATACMs that is compatible with Himars systems. The PrSM has a strike radius of approximately 500km which is significantly higher than the 300km range for ATACMs.

Trump’s secondary tariffs on Russia’s main trade partners may be difficult to enforce without undermining other aspects of his economic agenda. Imposing tariffs on the United Arab Emirates, a key financial hub for Russian business elites, for example, might compromise the investment influx pledged during Trump’s May trip to Abu Dhabi.
These tariffs would also risk an escalation spiral in the US trade war with China and derail final-hurdle trade negotiations with India. As Russia has already largely decoupled itself from Western-dominated financial networks, the short-term economic repercussions for US trade partners in the developing world may be worse than for Russia itself.

Trump has finally realised that Putin can only be stopped by intensifying economic and military pressure on his war machine. This realisation might not quickly end the war, but will be a relief to Ukrainians facing Russia’s daily bombardments.

Commentary:
Pure common sense. We can't let the Kremlin endlessly continue to massacre Christians - whether they are Russians or Ukrainians. The Kremlin's lust for blood has become psychopathic. Trump will now rearm Europe just as I said he would endlessly here on FR. Europe will of course invest billions in this - all fine.
Putin lies plays games and kills civilian innocents, Trump is demonstrating that he’s always playing games but has the muscle to win even if a convoluted process, he’s slowly getting to where he said he would, Putin will lose or resort to tactical nukes. Sleep tight !!
Yet, if Putin goes to tactical nuclear attacks, the gloves are off. He knows that and will not risk upping the stakes by using tactical nukes unless cornered.
Putin's options have turned to China and North Korea for support munitions and people to fight his war against the Ukraine and the West.
The question remains as to when Western countries bordering the Ukraine begin sending men to offset the North Korean addition of another 30,000 troops to an estimated total of nearly 50,000 troops to fight in place of Russians.
Putin has virtually emptied his gulags by sending them to fight against the Ukraine and those Russians forced to serve are deserting at the first chance they have.
Indeed, many prisoners in Russia have been recruited to fight in the war against Ukraine, particularly by the Wagner Group, which has been known to offer them freedom in exchange for military service. This practice highlights the desperate measures taken by the Kremlin to bolster its military forces amid significant

Everything will continue as normal and the war for Russia will be a Puhric victory at best...

Unless a black swan event happens.

Black Swan event:

Ukraine hopes that Trump will approve the delivery of the Precision Strike Missile (PrSM), a newly minted upgrade on ATACMs that is compatible with Himars systems.
Trump has said he is only going to give Ukraine defensive weapons, not offensive. Ukraine is shit out of luck and will have to rely on the EU for offensive weapons if they want to push the Russians back.

Let's hope Trump doesn't threaten to hold allocated US arms hostage until Zelensky manufactures a fake scandal about Gavin Newsom.

Now, regarding USA Glorious people leaders' perpetual addiction to war;
For some decades the leaders of fake Israel have been wanting a war between USA and Russia. Now add to that the fact that President Trump said before His first Presidential administration: During His Speech a Jerrry Fallwell University in Lynchburg/Appomattox, Virginia; Giving to fake Israel, ruling over Palestine, "what ever they want; Then God will Bless America." Thus USA is going for war against Russia; And many Americans and others, are bound to perish miserably therein.
Since most so called "Americans" seem to love perpetual war, Enjoy the ride to Hell (death).

A factor ignored or unknown to many anti-Russia gurus, is that Stalin starved to death a million or so Ukrainians, and that when Germany invaded Ukraine, Germans were considered Heroes, because The German military brought doctors, food and priests and helped the non-Talmudics unlike the murderous Stalin and His vicioius "political officers;"
The other factor being ignored is that it was USA that staged the Maidan civil war, and even imported assassins to kill people on both sides to inflame those still alive.
Still another factor is that Eisenhower had all 7 million Ukraine and other refugees in Germany sent back to Stalin to suffer and be killed.

Goebbels died 80 years ago along with his Ministry of Propaganda. Why did you pick up his ideas and terms?
