I dont know if he ever made it in the US. I remember we all bought the first Housemartins album. It was hard to be a socialist in the mid 80s.
I never really cared for the Beautiful South at the time. But as I got older my perspective changed.
A lot of their songs were absolute classics. Heaton deserves more coverage.
