Polio became evident in the early 1900s. In the 30's some doctor named Broady claimed to have a vaccine that did nothing. There is no record concerning lethal side effects. In the 50's they isolated the germ and Salk finally came up with the right stuff. Salk relied on a hundred years of research for his seven year trials. My point is that political geniuses came up with a covid vaccine with little trials or CDC oversight and it killed a number of people outright. "You have to break some eggs". The final formula seems to be ineffective but it remains a potent political tool in the hands of the media.
