ā€˜Darren Michael, an associate professor of acting and directing at Austin Peay State University (APSU) in Tennessee, has resumed his post following his removal over a social media post related to Charlie Kirk last fall, the university told Newsweek in an email.

Local media WKRN News 2 reported that in addition to resuming his tenured position, ASPU will pay him $500,000. ASPU Chief Strategic Communication Officer Ginna Holleman confirmed to Newsweek that Michael and ASPU ā€œreached a settlement agreement,ā€ but did not provide details on the matter.

Shortly after reports of Kirk’s assassination, Michael posted on a social media a screenshot of a widely circulated Newsweek article from 2023 that quoted Kirk noting that gun deaths in exchange for the preservation of Second Amendment rights are part of America's reality.

Well, he favors killing people for what they say. I wonder if he would feel the same if he were the target?

Once again the Alliance for Treason Against America cheers the execution of someone opposed to it...

From the article:

Shortly after reports of Kirk’s assassination, Michael posted on a social media a screenshot of a widely circulated Newsweek article from 2023 that quoted Kirk noting that gun deaths in exchange for the preservation of Second Amendment rights are part of America's reality.

If that is all he did, then I disagree with his firing.

Charlie Kirk did say that and, unlike many, he had skin in the game on that point. He knew that he was at risk by speaking on college campuses and deviating from the dogma now espoused there. He knew that the radical left and radical Islam have been normalizing their own violence for decades now, particularly in the last decade.

Doesn't mean that every professor fired for saying inappropriate things is in the right. To me the key question is, were they speaking as a university professor representing their school, or were they just a typical left-win troll making outrageous statements and hoping for an emotional reaction? If the latter, then their school should have no option to sanction them.

So it's left wing when someone requotes someone but it wasn't when the original quote was made?

The only questions now are how many students are willing to have him for a teacher after such a controversy and could a low enough student attendance track record have a negative impact on him remaining at the school from here on out?

God bless you and him and the students always!!!

That is why the stupid feminist shrew who died yesterday feels so good. You guys are leading us to an impoverished endgame. Most of you will throw out the so-called Prog morals you have when life becomes a true struggle.
