Should start soon. I wondered how long it would take for the President to do this briefing.

My guess is that he will announce a "Plan B" for just this contingency.

Thats a shame. That was a nice tool for getting world powers to do the right thing. Oh well, I guess we can just go back to using military threats and missile strikes on nations when they dont fall in line. :dunno:

So other countries can place tariffs on us, but we can’t return the “favor”?
If we had a healthy senate and congress, this wouldnt be an issue at all, but the dems will vote down any plan that Trump puts forward, no matter how beneficial it is to the US. If a comet was headed towards Earth and Trump went to the democrats in Congress to finance its destruction, the dems would unanimously vote "no".

Trump is a terrible negotiator and a man child.

Congressional dysfunction is far worse under his administration.

Sure we can, if Congress approves it.
Democrats wont ever approve of anything that Trump does. It doesnt matter if its good for the country, they will still vote no.

Congress is broken. It no longer functions in a beneficial way for US citizens. There is never any consideration for what would be useful. Its just pure politics on the democrat side. They make zero concessions and they never listen to reason. There is only pure partisan politics now.

This was the right decision.

3 Justices beg to differ.

It was a shot in the dark, but now the administration will just have to back-justify most of the tariffs at least partially based on other laws.

Democrats are children. Everybody knows that. It is exemplified on a daily basis with tantrums all across the country in the form of protests.Congressional Democrats and Supreme Court justices are no different.

No, the Supreme Court didn't outlaw tariffs. It is a matter of a President taking on power in which the Constitution doesn't authorize.
The problem is that Democrats want our country to be at a disadvantage and will fight against tariffs.
