President Trump: Making America Normal Again

Victor Davis Hansen has a thought short piece observing what makes this election so different from 2016 noting Trump's approval ratings are consistently over 50%, it feels like he is already President and world leaders are 'elbowing each other out of the way' to get invites to Mar-a-lago to visit with the incoming new President.

I think the thing that makes this election so different is that the people EXPECT it to be different, WANT it to be different, HOPE it is very different from the dismal failure that the Biden Administration has been.

It's sort of sad that returning America to normal will involve such radical change from the situation that is.

The majority of Americans who voted for President Trump did so because of the MAGA vision of a strong, secure, free America that offers maximum liberty, options, choices, opportunity and prosperity for all.

You are being blind-by-choice. Strong and secure America? Not all that secure if we leave NATO. Maximum Liberty? Not if you have opposite views to Trump. He is looking to put anyone that has disagree with him in jail. Options? Not is you are a Democrat, gay, transgender, born in USA but from illegal aliens. Opportunity and prosperity for all? Not if you are poor.
That is what is normal America to those people.

Only for Trumpers
So far the cabinet President Trump is putting together are all committed to that vision, but wow, they sure are causing a lot of heads to explode. Nevertheless Trump is moving forward to make the MAGA vision a reality and is putting together the most unusual, interesting, unexpected and unlikely team in American history to accomplish it.

Competence be damned. Loyalty is the only requirement.
I am a bit curious if the most hard core left aren't at least a little bit curious and interested in how this will all work out. I sure am.

We know how it will work out. Dictators are predictable
What does a normal America look like to you? Is the Biden Administration agenda and results what you think should be normal? Or are you willing to give the MAGA team the majority of voters voted for a chance?

Normal America is what we had for 220 years before the Far Right took control of the Republican Party. As long as any extreme is in charge, there can be no "Normal" America
Setting aside the talking points, partisan rhetoric and propaganda, aren't you a little hopeful that the MAGA agenda, the MAGA team heading government, the resolve to make America great again, will yield good things? Or are you hoping it fails?

ALL extremes are bad. No, there is no hope.

I agree-
You should off yourself.

The H1B Visa Program controversy:

The dishonest media wants the public to believe that DOGE and Trump are at war over the H1B visa program. They aren't. Trump wants to end the blatant abuses of the program while Musk and Ramaswamy recognize the positive benefits when it is used as intended.

I am quite confident that they will work out their competing interests in this matter which also is restoring normalcy to America. People should be able to debate and work out their differences on policy without becoming adversaries. The Democrats have not allowed that for a long time now.

Trump debt:

While I'm at it, I call out those who accuse Trump of running up the debt when they include debt from 2020 in which the economy was mostly shut down by the government and BIPARTISAN legislation was necessary to keep businesses from closing and people from starving. And they ignore all the billions and billions of pork the Democrats demanded be included in the off budget COVID bills before the Democrats would pass them.

And they also ignore that Trump was urging the economy to open back up long before Fauci and company and Democrat run states were willing to do that.

49 percent is not a majority and trump offers none of what you claim.

Trump's most incompetent pick ever is head and shoulders above anyone that served in the Biden admin. You wouldn't know competence if it bit you.
And that's a fact. Probably none of us haven't at least raised an eyebrow at one or more of Trump's choices, but he has appointed absolutely nobody that doesn't at least have America's best interests at heart. All will work for the MAGA vision. And I'm guessing most or all will do a credible job. I cannot think of a soul in the Biden Administration who can be legitimately proud of his/her role in that administration. It hasn't done anything I can think of to be proud of.
