Pres Sec admits Joe doesn't GAS about kids, will not harden schools, only wants to blame guns

And so it is perceived by some that this somehow equates with Biden not giving a shit about kids.

Holy crap. The distortive powers of political ideology. A cautionary tale. Don't let this happen to you.
It equates that way to partisan Biden haters, who want to use it that way. You got to admit, Mac, though calmly spoken, it was not the most artful response. I voted for him and in the same circumstance and opponent, was right to do so. He has made a wide range of decisions, policy implementation, budget requests and approvals, I do not approve of. You could say, he is pissing me off. I does not at all equate to Joe as not giving a shit about kids. You don't buy it. Most don't buy it. I will say that in many school buildings, campuses, across the county, some upgrading (including technology), hardening, to help with the problem absolutely, without a doubt MUST be part of the solution. For the White House Press Secretary to make that statement on camera, reflects more on her stupidity, as an amateurish, poorly thought out response, unless reading from prepared text of the President, not in keeping with her job. It does not mean Joe doesn't give a sh#t about kids, but does show he may not want to have the full range of solutions addressed, due to overt political focus, rather than problem-solving. It is stupid answers like hers, though that plays into the hands of the Administration's political opponents.

I've called him "spectacularly mediocre" more than once, that's for sure. He's one hell of a dichotomy -- a badly-needed (if probably temporary) respite from the ugliness of the orange stain, but simply not cut out for (what has become of) contemporary American politics.

He's from an era when people where just better to each other. Out of place, out of time. I'm thankful for the respite, but....

Hardening schools would stop this NOW but they refuse to do that.
The bastards. After all it would be so easy.

All to be used for the almighty Progressive Socialist Communist Party. Death is part of the tribute to the growing evil. Democrats are long gone.

Do you guys ever actually have a look at yourselves and the society you've made?

I am probably from that same era, though he has some years on me. Agree on the respite, but he is pissing me off, and you would think a White House Press Secretary would be better schooled in public relations, to say the least.

What, she should pretend that the number of firearms in circulation in the US is not the problem in order to not dis anyone's fetish?

ABC reports, "Former Trump adviser Peter Navarro revealed in a court filing Tuesday afternoon that he has been subpoenaed to appear before a grand jury this week as part of the Justice Department's sprawling probe into the deadly insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.

"Navarro, who was a trade adviser to then-President Donald Trump, said he was served by the FBI at his Washington, D.C., house last week. The subpoena is the first known instance of prosecutors seeking testimony from someone who worked in the Trump White House as they investigate the worst attack on the Capitol in two centuries."

While that is happening Republicans have expressed confidence in recapturing Congress and certain governor races in November.

CNN reports, "Momentous and tragic events are driving public attention back toward abortion rights and gun control, two issues that keyed the Democratic advance in well-educated suburbs over the past generation.

"Republicans have consolidated a commanding grip on rural and small-town communities filled with culturally conservative blue-collar voters who generally oppose both legal abortion and most restrictions on gun ownership.

"In mirror image, Democrats have gained in white-collar communities around major cities filled with well-educated voters who generally support both abortion rights and gun control.

"Amid discontent over persistent Covid disruptions, dissatisfaction over President Joe Biden’s performance, supply chain problems like the shortage of infant formula, and above all, the highest inflation in 40 years, Republicans have expressed mounting confidence about recapturing many of those suburban House seats, and flipping suburban voters in Senate and governor races, in November. But the tragic mass shootings in Buffalo, New York, and Uvalde, Texas, have riveted attention on gun violence and access to firearms along with more attention to women's rights when it comes to their health."

Here is the problem for the Republicans. The Biden administration did not cause Covid disruptions, supply shortages, infant formula shortage, or the high inflation. Increased spending resulting from full employment -- as in a prosperous economy -- caused inflation and some of the other problems.

On the other hand, the NRA sponsored Republican Party is responsible for the failure to pass needed gun control legislation, and the GOP clearly wants government control of pregnancies in America, forbidding women to make decisions regarding their own pregnancy. In the case of abortion, Republicans want to impose their religious views on all Americans, a violation of the spirit, if not the meaning, of our Constitution.

Perhaps Republicans should not be that confident.

She should not publicly pretend it is the only consideration that should be addressed or publicly state it, as administration policy. It is akin to an all or nothing, unpassable solution.
This is a free spending lot, up there these days, admittedly security hardening is nowhere near a total solution and even if they could make a gun grab (bad idea) rather than just restricting sales (a distinct possibility), the advantage may be a decade in effectively even limiting the problem. At the same time, upgrades in security, and enforcement of facility Security procedures can have effect within months.

Hardening schools would stop this NOW but they refuse to do that. Only blame inanimate objects. This is evil sh!+.
Children are disposable props to the UNiparty & their puppet masters. Their lives mean nothing.
What other plausible conclusion can be drawn other than our children are not as important as their anti-gun agenda.

Blood on the hands of Republican White-wing

I'm thinking heavy locked doors with well armed security. Think bank vault entrances.
You know, treat them like they are more valuable than money?
Making schools into a prison like environment would never occur to me but, then again, I don't think in over emotional progtard.

Welcome to your society. Time for a change, don't you think?

Trudeau's solution is elegant.

Yeah, whatever. US schools already have more security than just about any other developed nation. What other countries have metal detectors and on site police in their schools, ffs? Doesn't work that well, does it?
