Predict how the Shutdown will End

Democrats will cave in less than week
LOL over NASA employees he will bring back? Don't think so. If it rolls into November, the voters will actually see first hand what the BBB did to **** them on their health insurance so the GOP will cave before then.

I'll predict that Trump waits until eatly Monda mornig before he announces termination of both non-essential and counter-productive fedemps. That will give Democrats the whole weekend to come to their senses.

Of course Dems will whine about the timing:

"Bad Orange Man knew he would do this Sunday night. He could have told them then so they could sleep in!"

All democrats need to do to win is to force Thune to suspend the rules and go back to simple majority voting to get the government re-opened. After that can of worms is opened, the next DNC majority can erase the MAGA agenda from the books forever.

A true statement, butt how would they force that?

The filibuster to keep defunding government hurts Democrat constituents, much more than Republicans. even CNN is calling out the Democrats for claiming they are not holding out for free healthcare for illegal aliens and asking Democrats to explain why they are maintaining the shutdown.

Here Newsweek names three ways it could end.

1.

Congress could pass a temporary stopgap spending bill, known as a continuing resolution (CR).

2. A Piecemeal Reopening With Mini-Bills

Another option being floated on Capitol Hill involves passing a series of “mini-bills” to fund specific parts of the government—like defense, veterans' services, or border security—while negotiations continue on more politically contentious areas like health.

3. A Full Omnibus Deal With Major Policy Concessions

The most comprehensive solution—an all-in omnibus spending package—would settle funding for the entire fiscal year and likely include compromises on President Donald Trump’s biggest budget priorities.

I disagree that these are the only possibilities. In fact, they are highly unlikely and are nothing more than propaganda intended to make the Democrats look good.

1. is exactly what the Democrats are now filibustering, so it is extremely misleading to mention that without saying who is stopping it.

2. is unlikely because if Democrats were willing to do that, why would they not stop filibustering the CR, so those smaller spending bills (still huge) could be worked on.

3. presents a loss by Trump as a possible outcome without mentioning a loss by Dems.

Here is my top prediction:

Democrats ask for a meeting to negotiate, with the condition that no transcript or other recording be made. After the meeting they assure their voters that the newest concessions by Republicans are acceptable and end the filibuster. When Republicans that met with them say "we didn't make those concessions!" the Democrats cry foul and accuse them of bad faith.

I have one other, but what are your predictions?
Some more of the Dems will cave and the clean CR will pass.

I'll bite, what in the "BBB did to **** them on their health insurance?"

The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) estimates that, taken together, these changes will result in 16 million more uninsured people in the year 2034 than would otherwise be the case, including:

  • 7.8 million more uninsured resulting from Medicaid changes in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA)
  • 3.1 million more uninsured from OBBBA provisions affecting the ACA Marketplaces
  • 900 thousand more uninsured from codifying the recent Trump Administration proposed rule on the ACA Marketplaces. This accounts for only half the effect of the proposed rule; the remaining 900 thousand people becoming uninsured are included in the effects of ACA provisions in the reconciliation package.
  • 4.2 million more uninsured with the expiration of the enhanced premium tax credits, relative to an estimate of a permanent extension of those credits

This would represent a significant increase in the uninsured rate in most states, and it would come after years of declining uninsured rates following implementation of the ACA." How Will the One Big Beautiful Bill Act Affect the ACA, Medicaid, and the Uninsured Rate? | KFF

Lots more impacts at the link I am sure you won't care about either....

What percent of those are non-American citizens, dId the CBO SAY?

It looks like Hakeem the Dream is trying to bring this one to pass. He was on several Sunday shows today and the only demand he is making at this point is for Republicans to negotiate. Here he asks that Trump get his party to the table (with him, of course):

So all Trump, Thune, and Johnson would have to do is sit down with Jeffries, and I guess Schumer, and they will figure out a way to cave and save face at the same time.

It is too early for the GOP to want to do that. Johnson has said that the House will not be in session this coming week. He says that the time for negotiations is once the government re-opens. Legally, he has a point. If he walks into his office and turns on the lights, he is spending money for which there is no legal authorization. But he would sit down if he thought one meeting would get the filibuster to end and the clean CR signed. He'll wait until the military misses the paycheck that normally comes on the fifteeth.

Plus Trump will have to get some scalps of fedemps who oppose the American people, by opposing the leader that they elected. Not many. Picture a blue and orange-haired trannie going on MSNBC and crying because Twump fired "them" and now the hormones will be more expensive without the cadilac policy of a fedemp, and without the Obamacare subsidies.

That's all Trump needs to make his point.

Senator Welch, D-VT, pleads that the Republicans sit down and negotiate.

At 2:`5, he says that "we have made it absolutely clear that anyone without legal status* in this country does not get access to health care." Then he goes on to say "we DO want health care for everyone."

*"legal status" is the weasel phrase dems and "not dems" are using to pretend that if Team Autopen gave them parole at the border, they ceased to be illegal aliens.

Democrats are remaining resolute in their opposition to Trump's determination to deprive millions of Americans of their healthcare coverage.

If Congressional Republicans represent the interests of their constituents, they will make concessions.

===========================================================================
Recent Medicaid cuts, enacted through the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, potentially leave millions without health insurance and threaten healthcare access across the U.S.

Consequences

With Trump and Republicans rightly being assigned more of the blame, Democrats are not eager to fold.

More Americans blame Trump, GOP for shutdown than Democrats

Are illegal aliens who were en mass given legal status under Biden Americans?

Democrats are not advocating that illegals be covered, That is a GOP lie that has been thoroughly debunked.

Even MAGA opposes the Trump cuts.

Most of Trump’s supporters back keeping enhanced subsidies for Affordable Care Act plans

Democrats are already getting ready to change their votes. Trump will start to fire thousands and cancel their programs cutting their power in the government.

Trump's vindictive actions will not justify his depriving millions of Americans of healthcare coverage.

No one has been deprived. The ACA has serious flaws that need to be corrected and not just be covered up by dumping money into it. Its also all about paying for illegals. 2 things the nation opposes money for illegals and more spending. Democrats lose. Trump will soon start the mass firings f democrats planted in the government
