particularly, they will not change their mind over the shutdown, for a few reasons.
As any decent human being, I was concerned when I saw that they will not be able to afford milk and eggs for their children. Then I wondered, since they're both working, what purchases are they prioritizing over feeding their kids?
Great point! I know a couple -- he's deeply in debt after spending a boatload of money to woo her. They're struggling to be able to afford to get married, but she still gets fancy $10 coffee drinks and has her nails done in a salon, and they went ahead and got pregnant! They had an expensive "gender reveal" party, and she won't get married until they can afford to do it in style.
I get the feeling that this is pretty normal for young people today.
She's on WIC, and I truly don't believe they deserve the help.
