Marilyn Chambers has died? Geeze she was only my age.
I met Mz. Chambers. When I was stationed at Nellis AFB in Las Vegas, we had a CMSgt retire. Well when a chief retires, it's a big deal. So we got a little creative for a retirement party surprise. Chambers lived in Vegas so we contacted her. We told her that we had this chief retiring and we'd like to do a little skit with her where she pretended she knew the chief. Long story short, she agreed, we went to her house, out back to the pool, she sat in a lounge chair for the "interview," and as she said her last line, she stood, disrobed naked and jumped in her pool.
We stuck around for a little bit after that and had a drink with her. She was actually pretty interested in the Air Force and asked about the fighter jets and the base. She didn't charge us anything for what she did either. She was a supporter of the military. Nice lady actually. Well spoken.
