It looks like he didn't. Biden handlers were careful to keep the meeting away from video cameras because old Joe might commit a gaffe or two but they couldn't stop him. Biden meets with arguably the most powerful and influential religious leader on the planet and the first thing he says is "I bet you never met an Irishman who wasn't a drunk". WTF?
