I'm gonna quote something from today's NYTimes, but it remined me of a post from 2018, and I wonder if we are missing a danger that amplifies the danger to humanity from Leftism.....
1. "Details are scarce, but the idea is simple: Unicron expects to purchase and rent out sex robots by the hour to customers who want to make love to a life-size, talking Barbie with a vagina—as long as the robot agrees to it.
The robots, made by sex-doll manufacturer Real Doll, can swivel their heads, move their mouths, and hold kinky conversations through a chatbot embedded in their skulls. Customers, in turn, can do pretty much whatever they want with them, provided they purchase their own vaginal and anal insert.
“It’s the future. You can now take a robot on a date,” reads a message on the proposed brothel’s IndieGogo campaign.
“Sit down with one of our robots and meet one of the new citizens of Earth. "
California Cult Leader Plans Sex-Robot Brothel—With a Twist
2. "Sex robot addiction warning as clinic reveals risk of humans getting HOOKED on dirty droids
A leading psychologist claims sex robot addicts will be offered the same therapy as general sex addicts"

3."As someone with a history of heroin addiction who has spent years researching compulsive behavior, I know a lot about what hooks people and how tech companies can manipulate these factors to sustain engagement. And as a person on the autism spectrum, I also know how online worlds can be especially sticky for those who have difficulty with real-world socializing.
4. ...love is essentially the template for addiction. The biological systems that allow us to persist through the difficult parts of relationships can also misdirect us toward harmful compulsions, like seeking drugs or gambling online. While loving relationships expand our worlds, addictions shrink them.
5. ...allowing corporations to sell such products without safety limits is a recipe for disaster — especially in this case, where A.I. companions might be working not only to hook you on their tech but also to change your politics or sell you other products. It’s hard enough to figure out what real love is and to find it in a world of false fronts without having to fight corporate deceptions as well."
Opinion Today: Love is a drug. A.I. chatbots are exploiting that., NYTimes
