Thank you so much Politico, for telling us what we already knew. Biden and the Democrats worked so hard to convince us to believe them that the economy was wonderful and not to trust our lying eyes that perceived the reality that there was an chasm between those rosy, sanitized numbers and the far bleaker economic reality on Main Street.

Now that the election is long past, Politico deigns to finally impart some truth to the American electorate...only four months too late to be relevant to the election when it really would have mattered.

But don't take that to mean you shouldn't read it...better late than never.

Here's a little taste to whet your curiosity...

"I don’t believe those who went into this past election taking pride in the unemployment numbers understood that the near-record low unemployment figures — the figure was a mere 4.2 percent in November — counted homeless people doing occasional work as “employed.” But the implications are powerful. If you filter the statistic to include as unemployed people who can’t find anything but part-time work or who make a poverty wage (roughly $25,000), the percentage is actually 23.7 percent. In other words, nearly one of every four workers is functionally unemployed in America today — hardly something to celebrate."

A day late, and 34 million dollars short. Now they are trying to save their corrupt asses.

Maybe because Politico lost funding from USAID and wants to change it's tune to get back that free money.

More likely they want to change their tune on the economy now that Democrats have been routed, but can't just turn on a dime.

Got to prime the idiots that read their propaganda to make the pivot from "the economy was wonderful" three weeks ago when Biden was president, to "the economy is magically total shit" three weeks later.

They are so transparent, it's like they have glass heads.

Do you think they waited enough time after Biden left office to admit the economy really sucked after all?

Then again, they were chomping at the bit ever since Trump won.

Just wait for the Shitler! economy...

More inflation, more chaos.

You mean the left and their bought and paid for media were feeding us phony figures? They did the same thing with crime. "Violent crime at record low, oh wait a minute, after the election is over we need to revise those figures. Sorry about that". Trouble is, Americans already knew from going to the grocery how bad things were and they watched their local news which showed violent crime day after day after day.

Awwww, being the maga victim again.

I don't need Politico to say the obvious

You had to have your head in the sand not to know it
Yep. All the asswipes libtards kept echoing the government's bullshit, but anyone with their feet on the ground knows the reality.

Biden is and always was a liar. But the leftard manipulation of reality is over now. We're going to get the real story. And it ain't pretty.

Biden even tried to change the definition of recession.

He hasn't been in office a month, it takes time to undo four years of fuckery
Again, the cost of groceries has went up since his assuming office.

And will continue to go up as he tariffs everything.

Methinks you forgot Trump won and he won the presidency, the House, the Senate, and in all seven swing states. And, as much as you gripe about him now, 70% of Americans say he is doing what they voted for him to do. Mind boggling just how blind you guys are.

Did you complain about Biden's prices?

I looked real quick, I didn't see any complaints

Hilarious

The silence from you on Shitlers! increases is equally telling.

How long will you as a kilted girl remain silent?
