In the 1960's, cars were getting 10 mpg and now they not only get 30 mpg, but catalytic converters clean up 90% of the emissions.
So imagine how bad things would be now if not for the warmings about future Anthropomorphic Global Warming?

And even with all that work we accomplished, temperatures clearly have risen by 3 degrees since the 50s.
It was not until the summer of 1997 that the ice in the Arctic Circle melted enough to allow a ship through the Northwest Passage.
That has not been true for over 100,000 years.

And the carbon we added is not done retaining global heat.
We don't know how long it will continue to retain heat, until it reaches equilibrium and allows as much heat to escape as is retained.
That could take centuries, and cause such a high heat increase, as to cause all life on the planet to go extinct.

They were paid millions by the USAID Blob as a fake news outlet, but even Politico has finally been dragged by its fingernails to admit something, anything, is not quite working for them in climate politics.

But make no mistake, this is not a mea culpa, it is just damage control, years after they really lost the culture war. After all, two years ago in March 2023, fully 60% of American voters already thought Climate science was more like a religion. And in any case, Donald Trump called climate change a hoax in 2016, and American voters elected him President.

But here the Blob Media are, trying to sell themselves as the firemen hosing down the global inferno.

Republican politicians need to stop going along with this. When asked some version of "is global warming real," they should say that there is no definitive evidence that human human activity is causing temperatures to rise, fall, or bounce up and down, in a way that is harmful.

So long as they are afraid to say that, Democrats will keep getting their way on Climate issues as they fly the world in their private jets to meetings with international climate profiteers.
