‘Minutes before 9 a.m. on Oct. 1, Catherine O'Gara's morning was overwhelmed by two sounds: Loud knocks on the door of her Pinellas County home, and the barking from her Australian shepherd, Red.

Of all reasons to open the door, she didn't expect two armed police officers. They were looking, it turns out, for her husband James.

It was all over a postcard that said only, "YOU LACK VALUES," in the ink of a large black marker. The recipient? Florida Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia.

The O’Garas’ story highlights a growing tension in Florida and beyond, between government efforts to guard against threats to public officials and the right of citizens to criticize those in power.

What the couple viewed as an ordinary act of political expression became, within weeks, a law enforcement “threat assessment,” a sequence of events that free speech experts say risks chilling dissent and eroding the boundaries of protected political speech.’

“threat assessment”

This is the authoritarian right’s new tactic to silence political opposition – falsely accuse legitimate, appropriate criticism of elected officials as a ‘potential threat’ in violation of the First Amendment.

Conservatives aren’t advocates of free speech, they’re advocates of lawless intimidation.

I suspect this is a bot. This is typical of the meaningless one-off threads it starts constantly.

Just imagine if you questioned Global "Warming" in Israeli occupied San Diego...

You might get detained, framed, and force medicated... for telling the world the truth.

Holy shit, are things really that bad in your country? Like even here in Vancouver, I don't think I would get thrown in jail and all that for denying the Cult's sacred values. I think. Never tried.

After 911 was worse. You've never heard of a "San Diego suicide," but many noticing too much truth about 911 had that happen. Indeed, we are told we have an epidemic of our former military people "committing suicide" and that's just more Zionist Fascist mass murder for noticing too much truth about 911 and other things.

Charlie Kirk is just the latest, for noticing too much about 107...

" I find this very hard to believe."

That is NOT what Bibi and Mossad want. They want you to believe and STFU about how obvious a bullshit hate hoax it was.

Yup.

It's a shame we can't elect a better government.

Oh I don't doubt, this is something that I have heard of on the internet, too.

Honestly, if I were the Israeli government, I would be in a cold sweat right now. People are talking, the internet is free (well, for now), and some information simply cannot be concealed from the public forever. Either they change their way, or they start killing even more massive amounts of people.

Somehow I doubt this was the first letter he sent.

As usual this isn’t the full story.

The man had literally written thousands of letters to many different officials.

“James is a Vietnam combat veteran who has written thousands of messages to local, state and federal lawmakers for decades.”

We have no way of knowing if any of these many written messages contained any threats.

Or that any of them did. Being a nuisance is not illegal.

In this day and age with citizens feeling they are justified in making threats, assaults, assassination attempts and murders of public figures, I feel that authorities would be remiss in their duties to NOT assess threats against these figures. I think you are trying to spread more hysteria.

The Tallahassee Democrat....... hahahahahaha

WTF are you talking about? Illegal? Nowhere in that article was it in the slightest way intimated that this guy had done anything illegal. The police were conducting an ASSESSMENT of a possible threat. He was not detained, arrested, threatened in any way. SMFH. More unhinged left-wing garbage. As for the little girl being upset---are you suggesting that a driver not be cited for violating the vehicle code because a youngster in the back might be upset? Nothingburger.

Are left wingers still worrying about their illegal alien amigos? Biden's DOJ spied on republican congressmen, issued a search warrant on Trump's home and went through his wife's underwear drawer alleging secret files. America's Mayor who brought us through the dark days of 911 was indicted as well as other Trump supporters. When that didn't work democrat dark mission experts set him up for two assassination attempts.

Adam_Clayton_Joke is obviously retarded.

He stupidly ascribes to all conservatives the actions of a mere handful of misguided officials.

There should never be a knock on the door based upon what he sent.

Sure, and you're OK with the happenings of 9/11 and other terrorist activities that have ensued. Two assassination attempts. A congressional ball game being shot up, etc. If I'm asked a couple of questions to determine if I am an actual threat, I look at it as a small price to pay. LOL, there would be hell to pay if there were an attempt on one of your globalist democrat buddies' lives and law enforcement hadn't assessed threats. Stinkin' hypocrites.

Agreed, but threatening is another thing.

This “story” is from a leftwing rag that only got one side of the story, who is a leftwing lunatic himself. Why else would places like raw sewage carry the story?
