This police chief just said what most people believe. Go to the link and read the entirety of his lengthy FB post.

NC police chief out after calling Black Lives Matter a 'terrorist' group on Facebook

SURF CITY, N.C.(WECT) – Surf City Police Chief Mike Halstead has retired effective immediately following a Tuesday emergency meeting called about a Facebook post he made.

According to Town Manager Larry Bergman, Surf City Mayor Zander Guy called the emergency meeting in reference to Halstead’s post he made to his personal page on Sept. 3.

He said he reminded him “that as public employees we are often held to higher level of scrutiny and that even if it is a personal social media account and despite not associating himself directly to the Town in his posting, that some will draw the connection.”

Here is the original post from the chief:

"Open letter from a Police Chief , this Black Lives Matter group is nothing more than an American born terrorist group brought on by the lie of the hands up don’t shoot during the criminal thug Michael Brown incident. The FBI and other Government Law Enforcement groups need to step up and put a stop to this. The Government and blacks would not tolerate the White Supremacist group to march through the streets and call for the murders of a race of people and a group of public servants. ...."

Good. A little accountability, for one. Another example that free speech can be very expensive.

He's no longer an official, he can denounce them till the cows come home.

Oops!!! Hello lawsuit!!! Even the city said he did not associate himself with his employer in the post on his private page. They can't fire him for it unless he specifically links himself to the Surfside City government.

And even then....HE'S RIGHT. #BLACKLIVESMATTER is a terrorist movement. They're calling for the murder of police. That's a terrorist group.

If he had been fired for saying white people are racist - you'd be screaming about his free speech rights being violated.

He didn't say it was racist now did he?

And all people are racist, and it's high time you learned this, using your right to free speech, especially in his position, means it could cost you your job.

Yes - BLM is a terrorist movement. It's also a lie since black lives do NOT matter. Very very few blacks do anything useful. They choose one of three careers: crime, welfare, or a useless govt job they get thru affirmative action.

Only if you reference your employer in the online post. This has been settled many times in civil court. He's gonna sue the shit out of tbem.

The SC cop who had a photo in rebel flag shorts on his Facebook....but NO reference to his employer....and was fired....just settled in civil court here for $500,000 and full retirement pension. Ouch.

This chief probably threw a party when he was fired. The lawsuit is gonna hammer that city.

I hate it when good people get fired for speaking the truth just so those who don't like hearing it won't feel offended by it!

One, among many, have called for the murders of not only cops but of all whites. Another advocated the murder of 'white babies'. Cops are being ambushed by members and/or those urged on by these domestic terrorists, which is what they are....which is why no one should be surprised to see Obama and Vallerie Jarrett inviting them to and embracing them at the White House. He has a recorded history of supporting both foreign and domestic terrorists.

I hope someone is brave enough to hire this honest man soon!

You must have missed this part:

Sorry, he can sue, of course, but he won't win.

What makes you think he was good? Just because he's overtly racist like you?

You liberals are the racists since you support affirmative action, the govt-mandated persecution of white people and the biggest hate crime in america.

No I didnt miss it. Guess what...I'm a police chief too!!! See...anyone can say that. True or not.

Civil law...anyone least in the circuit courts covering his state and SC....have sided with the idea that you must specifically name your employer on social media for it to be "linked" to your employer. He didnt. He's gonna get a nice check.

Little Hitlers never grow up. Your kind is why we needed to create AA in the first place, and now why many feel the need for BLM. AA worked, we don't have nearly as many of your ilk around and mostly all you go is whine like little bitches here and at Stormfront.

When you say you're a police chief, and you actually are and are easily identified with a city because you are a prominent public official, you just nailed your own ass to the cross.
