It's only for the Original Post to start a thread, so the requirement for the thread starter to put some of their own opinion in there is very reasonable. That rule is a good rule as it requires members to actually think about their post instead of just cut and paste, memes and such. Just make sure you have a couple of lines of your own content to start the thread.
