"First do no harm" is a fine saying but that is all it is. The first people to remove bullets had to do harm in order to do good.
Radiation is harmful unless you know the dose. So that logic does not apply to the practice of medicine because somebody has to try the unproven in practice to prove its value in use.

The expression is specifically about medicine.

The idea is not to add a new problem and tens of thousands of doctors do that daily. Instead of going after the problem they mask it with pain pills thus giving the person a new problem, addiction.

Meh. If the patients are well informed of the 'therapy' not being proven then it is on them.

I'm not sure if it's dangerous but probably doesn't do much like vitamins. It's a treatment to treat the symptoms, not the individual. Acupuncture would be a better alternative imho.
