Plan A would be to allow the indigenous Arabs to remain in power, give them a mountain of money - much of it from U.S. taxpayers - and trust them to rebuild according to their own best judgment.

Whether you like Trump's concept or not, can everyone not agree that Plan A is simply not an option? These are the same Fukkers who took the hundreds of billions that were given to it before, and spent them to build what they believed was an impregnable base for perpetual terrorist attacks against Israel, and hundreds of millions of dollars worth of offensive weapons to attack a peaceful regime that merely wishes to be left alone.

I think Trump has frightened them all to act to solve the problem by suggesting a fate worse than death for them:
The USA moving in right next door to them (and Israel) and taking Gaza over for themselves.
If they don't deal with things now, Trump is going to plant himself right in the middle of them via Manifest Destiny, right next to Iran,

Bibi Netanyahoo convinced Qatar to send hundreds of millions of dollars to Hamas.

Beginning during Trump's first term, $15 million a month was sent from Qatar in suitcases through Israel to Hamas. The US was aware of this arrangement.

This continued until 2021.
