Still, they are letting politics guide their emotions and their careers. What does that say about your self respect that you are so petty that because someone put their name on a building, which changes nothing, you will get your feelings ruffled and start making career decisions based on that.

Your politics guides many of the decisions we make. We all boycotted south africam goods for good reason.
I dont think not playing for trump is a tough call. There are other halls that come without the stigma.

But you’re not playing “for trump” you’re playing at the Kennedy center, the same people who would have shown up if it was still just the Kennedy center would still show up to hear you if it’s the trump-Kennedy center.

What principles? “I hate trump therefore I’m going to pout by not performing”?

What principles are the violating by performing the arts, for an audience, just because some guys name is on the building?

Just because trump put his name on the building doesn’t mean he owns the building.

They are free to do what they want, obviously, but were I a performer, I would still want to perform wherever I could to entertain people, wherever that was. It could be the “Obama-Biden-Clinton-Jefferies-Waters-Pelosi-Schumer-Schiff Center” and I’d be like “are there people there who want to hear my material? Ok, let’s go!”
