If Ukraine and the EU don't start getting real, they will find Russians in Kyiv by next Christmas.

I don't doubt these numbers are more realistic than most of the numbers the Neo-cons in the west give us, but do you have information where this is from? Russia I assume?

BTW, if 1,009,367 Ukrainian soldiers have been killed and 642,014 Russians have been killed, then how does Redacted figure that there are 1,377,045 total deaths in Ukraine? Whoever is feeding them these numbers (Russian Foreign Ministry?) needs to take a remedial math course.

Yes, the Russian President's war has been very costly so far, though it is impossible to tell what that cost has been merely from his propaganda servants. Wars always mean that people die. Surrendering to the aggressor is not peace, it is enslavement. People can hardly be blamed for resisting invasion and the rape of their nation.

That's an important point. Putin is fighting to regain the Russian empire. Ukraine is fighting for its very existence. They will fight to last man. Will young Russian men? I don't think so.

This is evidenced by the million or so young Russian men who have fled the country since the start of the war. For all intents and purposes, they can be counted with the 642K Russians killed. They are gone and won't be coming back anytime soon, if ever.

Russia is only hastening its own demographic collapse. Ethnic Russians make up about 70% of Russia. When that drops below 50% in a couple of decades, expect to see all the minor ethnic people who were swallowed up start redrawing borders and declaring themselves breakaway republics.
