It never ceases to amaze me the level of anger at the messenger(s) for uncovering waste, fraud, and abuse.

Trump, Musk, and company aren’t going to be here indefinitely. I foresee the Democrats taking back the House in 2026. What is going to stay is more scrutiny from the Taxpayer on how their money spent.

You can believe that fantasy bullshit if you want, that is not what is happening here. Smoke and mirrors is what is happening. The OP a glaring case in point. Celebrating a .14% fraud rate when the Office of the Inspector General, oh yeah, the office whose leader was shitcanned, estimates the fraud rate at between three and seven percent. And they had a plan to both uncover that fraud and address it.

Perhaps the biggest example of just how fraudulently this whole DOGE exercise is, because make no mistake, it is fraud, is the plan for the DOGE rebate checks. But first, a little background. First, DOGE has not uncovered a single case of fraud to date. The mass firings, the chainsaw circus act, but not a single case of fraud filed by the justice department.

I mean for real. Who is better situated to spot fraud? Someone working within the government, witnessing the acts taking place, seeing the fraud happen. Or some snot-nosed 19 year old computer geek? I mean this ain't rocket science. Trump and Musk can make a big deal out of all this DOGE shit. But when you are actively tearing down the protections of whistleblowers, and making it impossible for them to benefit financially from shedding light on fraud, ON FRAUD. Well, actions speak louder than words.

But, to those rebate checks. Bill is coming to Congress next week. Make it happen. Stroking five grand checks to every taxpayer. But now you listen good. That is taxpayers, like you actually have to pay taxes to get the check. And if you get any government benefits--maybe the ACA subsidy for health insurance; Social Security benefits, and the cost of Medicare, are not off the table. Basically, if you give to the government more than you get, you get a check. If not, sorry. I predict things get interesting when it comes to calculating "what you get". Are government job salaries included? Federal government.

Why that, in and of itself is enough to make your head hurt, the cost of such a "rebate" just happens to be twenty percent of the claimed, although not a dime as appeared yet, two trillion dollars Musk is going to magically reveal as fraud and make disappear without so much as a bump in the road for the economy. It is a fairytale, and more importantly, a smokescreen.

Look, they might figure it out before the trainwreck that is about to happen actually happens. But then again, this is Congress. Turkeys, that can drown in a rainstorm, have more sense. But this is how those unmaterialized savings are to be distributed. 20% in a rebate, to those that pay more to Uncle Trump than they get, and Uncle Trump is keeping the ledger. And 20% is going to pay down the debt, LMAO. 40% is going to be redistributed to areas Uncle Trump wants to spend them. And the other 20%, well they kind of left that open.
