I looooove this video. It has renewed my faith in humanity, coming as it does during a week of wrangling that sometimes seems racist at bottom. I hope you enjoy this. As the man says, "you don't have to be educated to know what's right.." I like to think that the locale, Toronto, makes no difference and the same thing would have happened in the U.S.

You have to admit that the Arab Propaganda Machine goes full speed ahead. Isn't it strange that all these videos are made because the Jews are involved, but we don't see such enormous output for the rest of the Middle East where the bodies are piling up? Basically what we mainly see are when Amity's new friends are beheading someone or shooting someone, and her new friends are so proud of it so they make videos. Did you see the one where they crucified someone, or the one where men are lined up and then shot in the head?

A bully or just some obnoxious individual is not going to be welcome. It matters not about a scarf, kefyah, tallit or shawl, the so called experiment was no valid. It was one man picking on another.
Race, religion, culture or nationality were not involved. There are better ways to set up an experiment to test what makes people uncomfortable or hostile.
This was a poor video.

Of course race, religion, culture and nationality are involved.
It is a perfect metaphor for the entire Israel/Palestine conflict.

You are simply on the wrong forum. Go to the Middle East forum and vent.

This whole experience is teaching me how Israel has gone on the defensive lately, very encouraging. We SHALL overcome, and I hope soon.

This experiment would probably solicit a different reaction in the US.

I hope not. The reactions of the onlookers to the bullying is THE correct reaction.
I think somehow in the US we miss this analogy when looking at what is going on the middle east.
Israel is truly the bully of the Middle East.

By the way, BOTH of these two guys are Palestinian. One LOOKS more stereotypically "Arab" than the other.

You are far too optimistic. Remember just a year or two back when conservatives threatened to boycott dunkin donuts and Rachel Ray for her appearing in an advert wearing a white scarf with a black design?

No, I didn't know about that. Sad.
There will always be yahoos unfortunately.

This whole experience with posters like Amity is teaching me that there are many whose viewpoint of the world is so narrow that they only want to concentrate on one tiny area of the world while there new friends are busy murdering innocent people elsewhere in the name of their religion. I certainly hope that the innocent people will overcome some day and that there will be tolerance for all religions in the Middle East, not just for one sect of Islam. Meanwhile, sadly, as I type, more bodies are still piling up.

It was you wish would have represented it, take a look and see how wrong you are

My "friends" were mainly Christians, BTW. I don't have any problem with Muslims whatsoever, respect the religion very much, and I lived in the middle east for years, but it just works out that the people I was mainly involved with were Christian Palestinians. And certainly secularists.

Now you should really get some help for this Muslim obsession thing. It really looks like it is grounded more in psychology than in reality.

and I would love to see you go post on the Middle East forum where I think they can probably figure out what the heck you are rambling on about better than I can.

Say, wasn't there another poster with a different screen name who said she also lived in the Middle East for years? Sorry to inform you that most people in America have no problem with Muslims, just the one who want to kill in the name of their religion, and we see an awful lot of that happening in the Muslim Middle East today as well as in Africa and Southeast Asia. Naturally you are not interested in these happenings because your worldview seems to be very narrow. Of course, I have been posting on the Middle East forum telling just what your new friends have been up to when it comes to harassing and murdering and destroying houses of worship.
