Just a general observation of what I expect. Even adults in New York who were interviewed on the streets and NOT Trump voters seemed resigned to Trumps nomination, not outraged as they might have been in 2016. More comfortable with Trump winning even as their horse lost.
I believe deep down they knew he was the better candidate and they preferred his policies. I also believe in many ways that Harris was relieved. She is a career government official, that doesn't mean she is a natural leader who needs to make decisions that could cost millions of lives.
There has been a shift going on and it's been going on since 2016. The Democrats can either shift with the GOP or they can continue to appeal to the voters who watch the View.
