They just sprang up.

Our first flowers, crocuses and daffodils, are still far from blooming.

We are very likely to get plenty of snow this month, and March blizzards are not unheard of here.

Daffodils are called Osterglocken or Easter Bellls here …
And they usually are in bloom around Easter!

In a way, yes.
Here it is called white sunday, the usual date for the First Communion
