She died in her sleep here at home. At least she went peacefully. She was at least 17 years old, we will miss her greatly.

My girl Jessie is about thirteen years old now (she was a stray feline so we don't know for sure) and I already dread the day of losing her,
I had one orange tabby who lived to be 19.At 13, a cat can die any time now really. That is a long full life for an outdoor cat. If you see the cat doing something strange, like piss in the corner or some other innocuous thing you might ordinarily just yell at them for thinking they are just being trouble, be careful it isn't a symptom of something bigger.
I had a cat once who I caught peeing under my electronic work bench on the carpet instead of going downstairs. I thought she was just being a cat and scolded her. Turns out she was actually suffering a severe disability and was trying to tell me she was just too issued to try to go down steps anymore.
Animals are very good at not letting on about sickness and illness and other things.

And now I have another. And I hope he outlives me. Because I can't bear to put another one down.
He's such a special buddy.
She probably has years yet to live then. She's strictly an indoor cat and she's pretty healthy other than the fact that it's like pulling teeth to get her to eat anything at times as she's funny like that.
I've had cats like that. I tried dried food, moist food, canned food, box food. They have better food available today then years ago. I even tried fresh and cooked regular people food. The only thing I ever figured out is that the best thing I could do is not overfeed an animal, give them what they need, not what they want. Some days she'll eat all of her food and other days she hardly won't eat anything.
And if they can, they leave when death comes to them. I don't know, maybe feeling very vulnerable, they want to hide far away from the danger they sense.Animals are very good at not letting on about sickness and illness and other things.
go out at home vs a vet is a better way, that's 17 years of love an affection which is actually very goodShe died in her sleep here at home. At least she went peacefully. She was at least 17 years old, we will miss her greatly.
I had a pure flame point champion line Himalayian who was such a sweet boy, so mellow, ice blue eyesShe's strictly an indoor cat and she's pretty healthy other than the fact that it's like pulling teeth to get her to eat anything at times as she's funny like that. What's really weird is sometimes won't eat in the kitchen but she'll eat in the hallway, living room, or in bed. Thankfully she isn't messy so that part isn't a problem but this just started out of the blue a few months ago. She's still eating though at least she's just weird sometimes.

around 14 his tooth went rotten for some reason, extracted and he did not want to eat, he refused so he withered away to the point the vet could not change his mind so he he was let go
this was crushing to me, he could have ate soft food for another few years but just rebelled, typical male
