I think we already have lost, at least for now. The only thing standing in the way of the Despots, is the fear of the Angry Mob. Certainly not any sense of Justice or Lawfulness, not in the Real Sense. What they can manipulate serves their interest, that is all they are concerned with. Look at the Executive Order that I linked to. They don't leave anything out at all, including Dictate over Technical Skills and Ability. It reads like a bad James Bond Movie.
