1. Since the total defeat of the current insane Democrat Party I have written a number of OPs about the need for a strong, sane, pro-American Democrat Party, reminding of the need to jettison the insane policies.
While the radical communist Far Left acolytes have firm control of the party......there are many sane moderate Democrates who need be supported to save the party.

2. AI Overview

There is significant debate among moderate Democrats about "woke agenda," and some are explicitly critical of it
. However, the term "woke" lacks a concrete definition and has been used by different political groups for varying purposes, leading to complex internal conversations within the Democratic Party.

Criticisms from moderate Democrats
Moderate and centrist Democrats have voiced frustrations with elements of what is often labeled the "woke agenda," particularly regarding its impact on electoral strategy and public perception.
  • Alienating voters. Some strategists and commentators argue that an overemphasis on identity politics and progressive cultural issues has driven away moderate, working-class, and suburban voters. In 2025, a centrist Democratic group cited "leftist identity politics and purity tests" as a reason the party loses trust with voters.
  • Defining "wokeism". These critics suggest that while the pursuit of racial and gender equity is valid, "woke" activism has taken worthy ideas to "absurd extremes," turning into an overly sensitive political correctness.
  • Reframing messaging. In 2025, former Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel stated that the Democratic Party has become preoccupied with "tangential issues" and should instead focus on core economic concerns that affect the middle class.
  • Dismissing the term. Some Democrats, like former Ohio Representative Tim Ryan, avoid using the term "woke" at all, calling it a "made-up word that the far right uses to just make bogeymen that are not real".

3. Note the words "Far Right"
This highlights the problem for the woke Democrats: there is no Far Right in this country......only a Far Left.

I'd be happy to prove that.

4. Different perspectives within the party
The internal conflict is less a united opposition to a specific agenda and more a disagreement over how to prioritize policy and communicate with the public.
  • Policy vs. culture: While the 2024 Democratic platform includes commitments to equity and LGBTQI+ rights, its main focus remains on economic issues like lowering costs and investing in infrastructure. Moderate factions prefer this focus on "bread-and-butter" issues over cultural debates.
  • Leftist influence: Centrist groups have sought to counter what they perceive as a disproportionate influence from the party's far-left wing, which they believe is less focused on winning majorities.
  • "Woke" is a distraction: Some moderate Democrats argue that obsessing over "wokeism" is a distraction from the main threat posed by the Republican Party.
  • Google

5. Democrats can return to being a majority by simply returning to reality and embracing the "80%" rather than the "20%" issues like crime, open borders, transgender fantasy.

One More Attempt To Link With Sane Democrats

There are few sane democrats left. The sane ones have all left or are leaving the party, so the remainder are even more radicalized.

Since the total defeat of the current insane Democrat Party
They are so far gone that most don't even realize the scope of their defeat, and those that do, only mumble about it in hushed tones behind closed doors.

I have written a number of OPs about the need for a strong, sane, pro-American Democrat Party, reminding of the need to jettison the insane policies.
What you describe, jettisoning insane policies, adopting a pro-America stance, the radical left will never do it. They would sooner die.

They will not change,
As the great Yogi said, "It's hard to make predictions, especially about the future...."

Because the Democrat Party has become the party of murderers and hardened criminals. They are not on our side. Perhaps not in this election cycle, or the next......but they will change. It may take a while. After the Carter mess they lost 3 elections. They will be forced to change back.......

They are now the communist party. I hope you are right.

Just a note: if you check the stats, some 5 to 10 times more read a thread than post in it. That's who I want to read the banter.....for education.

That 5-10X more only reading are mostly bots reading just to gather info to use against republicans.

You’re barking up an empty tree but good luck.

You’re barking up an empty tree but good luck.
If we become a venue governed by just one party......the current path.......America will become California, or New York.

We're all human.

If we become the only party, watch out for the same from our side.

The Left considers anyone who is not in support of the woke agenda to be “far right.”

- Opposed to paying for gender reassignment surgery for convicts? Far right!

- Opposed to DEI and AA? Far right!

- Opposed to incentivizing illegal aliens with bribes of “free” health insurance, hotel stays, in-state tuition, and pre-paid debit cards? Far right!

- Opposed to college classes such as “the problems with whiteness” and calls for “Death to Jews!”? Far right!

- Dare suggest that poverty and high crime rates are positively correlated with high out-of-wedlock rates? Far right!

Think that able-bodied workers without dependents should have to work at least part-time to get tax-payer provided food stamps? Far right!

Far Right is a made up term to mitigate the fact that Far Left is real and a pejorative.

In essence, Far Right is rightly called "a term of art." It has no meaning other than a Democrat talking point.

It allows them to get away with their defense when they can’t justify the actions of the Far Left: “Both sides do it.”

Uh…..no.

I'd be happy to prove that.

Did you note that none asked for me to prove it?

They don’t want their delusions to be disrupted. There’s a lot of that going around. When a far-left radical makes a ridiculous comment and I attempt to show him or her the facts, I get a face palm and cut off before I can say a word.

I keep hoping for intelligent Democrats.

They will not truthfully confront the facts.

Perhaps they should read Longfellow before they accept the propaganda:
I have a cartoon version of myself that I posted in the computer forum.
Happy to provide same.
